This national park often takes a backseat to its neighbor, Arches NP. But Canyonlands has Mesa Arch which is the most incredible location to photograph at sunrise.
When I was 13-years-old I was riding my bike when I passed a camera store. I looked through the window and saw a used Minolta camera gleaming in the sunlight. I was mesmorized and I wanted that camera.

I had no idea how much I would grow to love photography, but I can't imagine living without it.

I am proud of this composition because it was undiscovered by other photographers. It is one thing to go to the popular national park where there are well known compositions to replicate. But it is another thing to discover a new compostion that feels like it has been found for the first time. This composition is one of those new discoveries and I love it.
